As you've noticed both women AND men can suffer with a candida problem. Men hear the term "yeast infection" and think that only women "get those". Not true. And as long as there is balance, then things run pretty smoothly. But if we end up with too much of the fungus, then bad things can happen. You might be familiar with how yeast fungus turns grapes into wine. Basically the yeast fungus eats the sugars found within the grapes and expels alcohol. Well the same thing happens within our intestinal tracts. We consume sugars (carbohydrates), which feeds the candida fungus. The candida fungus then expels toxins within our bodies. We then can have a variety of allergic reactions to those toxins, which results in potentially one or more candida yeast issue to deal with.

So How Did You End Up With This Problem?

And how can we end up with this imbalance within our intestinal tract? There are several things that can potentially affect it:
•Too many carbohydrates in your diet. Candida yeast feeds on carbs.
•While antibiotics are a good thing, taking them too often can result in a candida yeast overgrowth. Keep in mind that antibiotics kill both good and bad bacteria, So after taking a round of antibiotics your intestinal tract can end up with a shortage of good bacteria, which leaves the door open for a possible candida yeast problem.
•We've seen a higher percentage of candida yeast sufferers in warm, wet or humid climates. •Heredity seems to play a factor. Quite often a candida yeast sufferer can remember a parent suffering too. Or they may realize their kids are also suffering.

The Brutally Hard (and not very effective) Candida Diet!

Many make the mistake of trying to "starve" the candida yeast fungus by cutting out carbohydrates. In other words stop eating cakes, candies, sugary drinks and alcohols. Many folks find that isn't so hard. But then they find out they have to also cut out fruits and most veggies along with their breads and pastas. The job of starving the candida yeast becomes much more difficult, if not impossible.

Many will try to starve out their candida yeast using a strict no-carb diet– And most give up after a few days. It's just too strict. The other problem with trying to fix your candida problem using a diet is that once you get off the diet, you lose any progress you've made.

Prescription Anti-Fungals Cause Their Own Problems...
